Increased forecast milk payments are a boost for farmers who still face other concerns

Fonterra has lifted its forecast farmgate milk price -- to a mid-point of eight-dollars-40 a kilo of milk solids, matching the previous highest pay out.

Dairy NZ chief executive Tim Mackle says it's good - but farmers are still toughing it.

He says farmers are concerned about being understaffed, as well as issues around regulation and Covid-19 uncertainty.
