Fonterra remains wary about the state of the global dairy market

Fonterra remains wary about the state of the global dairy market

    Fonterra
    Fonterra
It's providing a broad range for its forecast Farmgate Milk Price this coming season, over ongoing uncertainty on Chinese demand and global conditions.

Its midpoint of 8-dollars is about 50 cents lower than futures markets and banks had expected.

Fonterra Chief Executive Miles Hurrell says they want to temper expectations now, rather than cut forecasts down the track, as happened last year.
