    A Kapiti man has been charged with attempted murder, following an early morning stoush with a cyclist


    Police were called to Paraparaumu's Marine Parade around 1.40am, where it appeared the cyclist had been hit by a car.

    They've suffered a broken leg, among other injuries.

    Officers took the 33-year-old car driver into custody nearby.

    He appears in the Porirua District Court today.
