    Video's emerged of an Auckland Councillor discussing a sexual rumour about Wellington's Mayor in a council meeting


    Maurice Williamson attended the November 2023 meeting by video, saying he was told of Tory Whanau performing a sex act.

    Independent Maori Statutory Board member,Tau Henare, asked for action from Chair Richard Hills - saying he should sanction the outburst.

    The clip's re-emerged after revelations of an email from Wellington Mayoral candidate Ray Chung including gossip about Whanau.

    Our newsroom has approached Williamson for comment.
