Waste reduction is one of many wins from new pre-build house factory

Fletcher Building's Clever Core will make core house components, which can be assembled onsite - reducing build times up to 60 per cent.

It will reduce waste by up to 80 per cent on each house.

Building Industry Federation chief executive Julien Leys says traditionally, building one house produces numerous skips of waste.

He says with Clever Core it will be massively reduced.
