A former reserve bank governor thinks our economy is going to be okay

Economists are predicting the Official Cash Rate will fall below zero next April.

Don Brash says he's hopeful a negative OCR will work.

He says our projected debt to GDP ratio, which is 55 percent, is lower than many other countries - but we should still try to minimise it as much as possible.

He says we're a small vulnerable economy - and we shouldn't feel comfortable with a debt at 55 percent GDP.
