Queenstown has exceeded expectations in the Covid race to reach 90 per cent

Queenstown has exceeded expectations in the Covid race to reach 90 per cent

Ninety-five per cent of the eligible local population is now fully vaccinated against Covid.

The achievement comes as the average rate for those fully-jabbed in the southern district sits at 88 per cent.

Queenstown Lakes District Mayor Jim Boult says it's amazing.

He says a goal had been set to reach 95 per cent by Christmas time - and they've knocked it out of the park.
