Port users shifting from Tauranga to Auckland has helped Port of Auckland to an underlying net profit after tax of 21.2 million dollars

Port users shifting from Tauranga to Auckland has helped Port of Auckland to an underlying net profit after tax of 21.2 million dollars

It's up 400-thousand dollars year-on-year, despite a 15 million dollar reduction in cargo holding revenue.

CEO Roger Gray says they'll pay a 20-million dollar dividend to shareholder Auckland Council.

He says at this stage they're confident of delivering a full year result of 52-million dollar net profit after tax - and at least a dividend of another 15 million dollars to the city.
