    New Zealanders are being urged to have their say on increasing transparency for banking and power prices


    The Commerce Minister has announced consultation on 'open banking' and 'open electricity' - which will bring better data sharing to the industries.

    Andrew Bayly says banks and electricity companies operate inside a walled garden.

    He says both sectors are dominated by a handful of large, profitable companies with little competition - and barriers are high new entrants.
