    Calls for a stronger mandate around desexing and microchipping cats


    There's a growing trend of local and regional councils bringing cat by-laws - with stronger regulations around registration and chipping.

    Companion Animals NZ general manager David Lloyd believes there should be a nationwide strategy - to improve animal welfare.

    He hopes it brings down the oversupply of animals.
