Confidence overseas investors will take up opportunities provided by visa changes

Confidence overseas investors will take up opportunities provided by visa changes

The Active Investment Plus visas system is being replaced with two simplified categories - Growth, which requires at least five million dollars invested, and Balanced which requires 10.

Auckland Business Chamber Chief Executive Simon Bridges says there are options in New Zealand, compared to some other areas which see more capital than investment possibilities.

He adds for example, rich Americans and Germans have a stronger culture of investment and giving things a whirl.
