    It's still unclear how Donald Trump's tariffs will affect demand for our dairy products

    Global dairy prices have reached their highest point since July 2022.

    But increased trade barriers are expected to have ripple effects everywhere -- with Infometrics today slashing its forecast for New Zealand GDP growth from 2.6 percent to 1-percent.

    Fonterra Chief Executive Miles Hurrell says we still don't know how China will be affected.

    He says because we've come off a low base, demand from China should remain robust over the short to medium term, but the long term is less certain.
