The Chinese Ministry of State Security has been blamed for a global cyber campaign, targeting service providers of IT services such as internet, telephone and email.

Gorilla Technology chief executive, Paul Spain, says companies such as Rocket Lab, Xero and Fonterra hold incredibly valuable intellectual property.

There's no evidence any New Zealand data has been compromised.
