Experts predict a jump in house prices in Auckland could lock first-home buyers out of the market

Westpac predicts house prices in the Super City will jump five percent next year and then 7.5 percent in 2021.

Colliers International residential property expert Peter Evans says the increase will likely see first-home buyers stuck on the sidelines.

He says when investors start to come back into the market, prices start to pick up and those looking to enter it are priced out.
