    Timely reminders for flu vaccinations

    Timely reminders for flu vaccinations

A virologist believes despite a flu outbreak amongst university students - we're still months away from seeing a spike in flu-like illnesses.

Sue Huang says overall cases of winter bugs are still tracking at a lower rate than the five years prior to the pandemic.

She says between 2015 and 2019, the average number of influenza cases we'd usually see by this time of year was about 265.

This year, ESR has so far recorded 58.
