NZ Post is losing less money than before, and says it's on track to return to profit in coming years

NZ Post is losing less money than before, and says it's on track to return to profit in coming years

It's reporting a net loss of 14-million dollars, compared to a 56-million dollar loss last year.

Letter deliveries are down 15-percent, but parcels remain stable.

Chief Executive David Walsh says it's a pleasing result, particularly given previous results included revenue from a government contract, and one-off items like asset sales.

The state-owned enterprise has returned the Government a one-hundred million dollar dividend this year.
