The Financial Markets Authority has filed criminal charges against a former financial adviser

It's alleged they took about 1.7 million dollars from two sets of clients, between 2016 and 2022.
It was on the basis the funds would be invested on their behalf, but the adviser allegedly instead used the money for personal purposes.
They've pleaded not guilty to two representative charges of theft by a person in a special relationship, in the Auckland District Court.
