Belief change is needed to deliver stronger and more consistent sheepmeat returns

A new Rabobank report shows values have dropped from nearly 13 dollars a kilogram in 2022, to as low as eight dollars in 2023.
Report author and senior animal proteins analyst Jen Corkran says diversifying export markets away from China could help returns move forward.
She says close to 50 percent of lamb has gone there in the last five years, so if they stop buying then the sector would get into trouble.
