    Consumers are getting better at keeping up with their payments


    Centrix data shows the number of people in arrears fell by three thousand in October.

    Managing Director Keith McLaughlin says households have adjusted their spending, and are living within their means.

    He says that pull-back in consumer spending, has created problems for business, resulting in increased liquidations, and rising arrears.
