It's the last weekend for people wanting to have their say on the introduction of a Regulatory Standards Bill

It's the last weekend for people wanting to have their say on the introduction of a Regulatory Standards Bill

The coalition deal between National and Act includes a commitment to legislate to improve the quality of regulation in New Zealand -- ensuring decisions are based on good law-making and economic efficiency.

The bill -- which gas not yet been drafted -- would provide a benchmark for good regulation and introduce mechanisms to assess their consistency.

Consultation's been sought on what the proposed bill should contain -- with submissions closing at midnight on Monday. 01-11-25 1512
