The New Zealand Super Fund's bucked economic trends

The New Zealand Super Fund's bucked economic trends

It's generated returns of nearly 12 percent over the past year - growing to 85 billion dollars

The fund's made the Crown's books 5.5 billion dollars better off.

Chief Executive Jo Townsend says the result reflects strong global equity markets.

She says their active investment strategies have also had a positive impact - adding almost an additional one percent, the equivalent of 745 million dollars.
