English Premier League football clubs have been given permission to play friendlies with strict protocols as they prepare for the restart of England's top-flight season on June 17

Venues must not be more than 90 minutes away and players need to travel in their own cars and arrive in full kit.

Matches will be refereed by members of the clubs' coaching staff and players need to have returned a negative covid-19 test.

The competition has nine rounds remaining - clubs have already returned to group training.
