A tough outing in Indycar testing for Kiwi driver Scott Dixon at Sebring Raceway in Florida

A tough outing in Indycar testing for Kiwi driver Scott Dixon at Sebring Raceway in Florida

Dixon collated just 58 laps over the two days of testing.

His first day was largely wiped out due to a mechanical issue after two laps, while on day two he crashed into the barriers 15 minutes into the morning session.

Dixon was uninjured and his car suffered only minor damage - recovering to post the 13th best time of the field across testing.

Fellow Kiwi Marcus Armstrong posted the 12th best lap and Scott McLaughlin the 24th best.

Will Power topped the time sheets over the two days.

The Indycar season starts Monday week.
