To a waterlogged Queensland update as once-tropical cyclone Alfred continues to wreak havoc on the state

AFL premiers Brisbane have joined NRL team Gold Coast in changing travel plans.

The Lions have returned to their base yesterday but will head to Sydney on Wednesday ahead of Saturday's grand final re-match against the Swans.

The NRL's Titans will relocate to Sydney today for Sunday's game against Canterbury.

Their headquarters remains out of action due to flooding - water still sits above the crossbars.

Across state, the Dolphins are without power at their swamped Redcliffe precinct.

They've flown to Newcastle to prepare for their Thursday match against the Knights.

The Queensland Reds are back in Brisbane after a road trip to Perth and Christchurch.

Their Ballymore base has avoided flooding - the team is expected to resume training tomorrow ahead of their fixture against the Waratahs on Saturday.
