Tele'a will depart for Japan on a three-season contract later this year.

Papali'i says he completely understands, but he will miss Tele'a.

The Blues will also be without Rieko Ioane next year as he heads to Leinster on a short-term deal.

Papalii himself is contracted until the 2027 World Cup.
