Are we about to see a hybrid player at a New Zealand franchise this Super Rugby Pacific season?

Are we about to see a hybrid player at a New Zealand franchise this Super Rugby Pacific season?

Leicester Fainga'anuku could feature in the backs and forwards for the Crusaders.

The 12-test All Black has returned from Toulon where he'd start games in the midfield before finishing at flanker.

Fainga'anuku's confirmed he's trained in multiple positions, and is willing to do whatever the coaches ask.

The wing may be where Fainga'anuku starts on Friday night against the Highlanders in Dunedin.

The Crusaders are dealing with a shortage on the edges with Macca Springer, Johnny McNicholl and Maloni Kunawave injured.
