Defence specialist Jacques Nienaber has been named Springboks coach

Nienaber takes over the rugby world champions from Rassie Erasmus, who will remain the director of rugby after stepping in to coach the 'Boks 18 months out from last year's World Cup win.

Erasmus will still oversee the management of the Springboks and be held accountable if they lose, while Nienaber will be responsible for the test match preparation and day-to-day team operations.
