A concerning injury list is building for the Hurricanes ahead of Super Rugby's penultimate round, although they do welcome back Devan Flanders and All Black Tyrel Lomax for the visit to the Reds

Loose forward Brayden Iose, backs Ngane Punivai and Riley Higgins are all out with injury.

The Highlanders have lost loose forward Oli Haig and wing Jona Nareki with foot and knee injuries for the visit to the Crusaders on Friday.

Crusaders halfback Mitchell Drummond will start for the first time this year and play his 150th game for the franchise.

Coach Rob Penney says slipping to third choice in the ranks isn't for everyone, but Drummond has handled it well.

Minimal changes to both the Chiefs and Moana Pasifika run-on sides for Saturday's clash in Hamilton.

Samisoni Taukei'aho comes into the run-on side for the home team, with Brodie McAlister dropping to the bench.

The knee injury suffered by Willy Havili in last weekend's victory over the Blues sees Solomon Alaimalo come into the starting team on the left wing.
