A world's first for Auckland United - kicking off football's inaugural FIFA Women's Champions Cup against Wuhan Jiangda , in China tonight

The tournament pits the six club continental winners against each other, with Auckland representing the Oceania region.

Tonight's victor will play the African champions in December - vying for a semi final against European title holders Arsenal next year, at an unconfirmed finals location.

The Americas cover the other side of the draw.

Coach Ben Bate says they've done all they can to prepare.

    Kick off's at 9pm.
