Supercars great Greg Murphy believes youngsters Ryan Wood and Matt Payne can emulate New Zealand's best as they line up for this afternoon's Bathurst 1000

Supercars great Greg Murphy believes youngsters Ryan Wood and Matt Payne can emulate New Zealand's best as they line up for this afternoon's Bathurst 1000

21-year-old Wood's taken a spot in the second row in Q4 while 23-year-old Payne starts in Q18 for the race to begin at 1:45.

Murphy believes the pair can emulate the success of Scott McLaughlin and Shane van Gisbergen - who have three Supercars championships each.
