Added speculation over the Ashes cricket futures of Australia's batters

Added speculation over the Ashes cricket futures of Australia's batters

Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne have struggled for consistency this calendar year, however Khawaja is likely to feature in Sydney against England, after a strong showing in the Adelaide test.

The latter has averaged under 25 runs in the series, and had 14 in total in Melbourne, while Cameron Green and Jake Weatherald haven't stamped their places either.

Australia coach Andrew McDonald says any potential changes in the line-up aren't a reflection of directly recent form.

The finale starts at the SCG starts on Sunday, January 4.
