Back to the drawing board for Phoenix men - after a humbling 4-1 loss away to Newcastle in football's A-League

Wellington conceded three times in the second half as the Jets continued their charge up the ladder into second behind Auckland FC.

Phoenix coach Giancarlo Italiano believes the match itself was fairly even - they simply got punished for some sloppy moments in defence.

Wellington stay outside the playoff spots in eighth.
