Former All Blacks coach John Mitchell will remain a thorn in the side of the Black Ferns

Former All Blacks coach John Mitchell will remain a thorn in the side of the Black Ferns

The 61-year-old's been locked in as head coach of England's Red Roses women's team for the next World Cup cycle.

Mitchell's re-signed with the reigning champions until 20-29's tournament in Australia.

And he says he remains hungry, after his first three years in charge saw a 25-game winning streak and the highest World Rugby points ranking ever for any international team.

World Cup winner and recent Roses retiree Emily Scarratt will join Mitchell's staff as lead attack and backs coach for the upcoming Women's Six Nations.
