Former Warriors captain Steve Price is challenging the view that the club is at a disadvantage when trying to keep players for the full term of their contracts

Mitch Barnett has been granted a release from the final year of his deal on compassionate grounds.

He joins Dylan Walker, Addin Fonua-Blake and Reece Walsh as recent examples.

Erin Clark, James Fisher-Harris and Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad were given early exits from their previous clubs to join the Warriors.
