    The government's underwriting of Kiwibuild homes is likely to be embarassing -- but not illegal


    The Auditor General has agreed to investigate why developers were guaranteed a minimum price for already built Kiwibuild homes.

    National says hundreds of millions of dollars is being misspent.

    But AUT construction expert John Tookey says the government probably isn't doing anything technically wrong.

    He says it's just another bad look for Kiwibuild.
