Inland Revenue is playing catch up, with businesses that aren't paying their tax

The number of IRD-driven liquidations has spiked -- after falling to nearly zero for most of last year.

There were 56 liquidations last month -- double the normal number of February.

Tax consultant Terry Baucher says that spike will continue.

He says Inland Revenue is shaking the tree and weeding out those who are beyond saving.
