A Covid-19 modeller believes our traffic light settings may need tightening sooner, rather than later

A Covid-19 modeller believes our traffic light settings may need tightening sooner, rather than later

Cabinet ministers will review the Covid-19 traffic light settings this afternoon, and whether Northland will finally move to orange.

But the outcome won't be announced until tomorrow.

Canterbury University's Michael Plank says the Government should also be planning now for the threat of Omicron.

He says that might include capacity limits, widespread mask use, and social distancing requirements.

Jacinda Ardern says she expects to share their Omicron plans in the coming weeks.
