David Seymour is betting on public opinion to help sway his coalition partners towards further support of his treaty principles bill

National has pledged to support it until the select committee process, but no further.

The Prime Minister told Ratana crowds yesterday he has no intention to meddle with the treaty.

Seymour says if enough people respond positively it could change their minds.

He wants the bill put up so there can be proper debate around it.
