It's unclear how Chris Hipkins will respond to Stuart Nash's latest comments about gang assets

It's unclear how Chris Hipkins will respond to Stuart Nash's latest comments about gang assets

The former Police Minister has hit out at Hipkins and then Justice Minister Kiri Allan for going too soft, when reforming the Criminal Proceeds Act, on assets valued at or exceeding 30-thousand-dollars.

Allan has hit back, saying she doesn't want to waste her time or energy responding to someone seeking attention by misrepresenting facts.

Newstalk ZB Political Editor Jason Walls says he's unsure what Nash's motive is here.

He says the current sitting Labour MPs will be quite worried at Nash's remarks, and Hipkins will have a lot to answer for.
