The Justice Minister has defended the Government's tougher stance on law and order, during an appearance before the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva

Paul Goldsmith has told the council overnight, tackling crime is a key priority for the Government.
The minister says that will sometimes mean restricting the rights of some people -- including curtailing gang members' rights of association.
He says protecting people from violence needs to be the priority.
