New data suggests there's increased demand for owning all kinds of small businesses

ABC Business Sales reveals it's received a record number of 20-thousand enquiries from potential business owners in the last 12 months ending June.

It's data also shows store ownership sales in the last three months, were nearly 40 percent higher compared to the same period last year.

Managing Director Chris Small says the types of businesses sold continues to vary.

He says 20 percent were hospitality and the rest were child care, age care, transport logistics and age care.
