Former Olympic equestrian rider John Cottle is at loggerheads with a former client, over an unpaid bill for a new training arena

Former Olympic equestrian rider John Cottle is at loggerheads with a former client, over an unpaid bill for a new training arena

The 1984 and 1988 Olympian says he's all but written off the money owed by Raine Selles , who complained about a training arena he resurfaced in 2020.

Open Justice reports Selles claimed he levelled the base of the arena, but provided no evidence to support that claim nor invoices from him.

Cottle lodged a claim with the Disputes Tribunal after he refused to pay almost 14-thousand dollars in invoices, who then counterclaimed but was unsuccessful.

Selles appealed to the Auckland District Court, who dismissed her case, saying the tribunal's order was then enforceable.
