Concerned parents are warning the Government against a new nicotine product, worried about its potential danger for youth

Concerned parents are warning the Government against a new nicotine product, worried about its potential danger for youth

Nicotine and tobacco oral pouches can't be sold in New Zealand, but can be ordered in from overseas.

Associate Health Minister Casey Costello has indicated she's interested in using the products, as an expansion of smokefree tools.

Vapefree Kids Co-founder Charyl Robinson says this is despite Ministry of Health officials earlier this year, advising her against the products.

She says there's a cancer risk and a high addiction risk for non-smokers and adolescents.
