Simeon Brown's being put in charge of the health system, in today's Cabinet reshuffle

Shane Reti's lost the Health portfolio, and has been knocked out of his fourth place spot on the National Party list.

He will pick up the Universities, Science, Innovation and Technology and Statistics portfolios.

Prime Minister Chris Luxon says he hasn't lost confidence Dr Reti.

Mr Luxon says he's going to do a great job in the university and science sectors - which are very important - but right now our health system needs Mr Brown's skills of delivery and execution.

Mr Brown's new role means Transport moves to Chris Bishop, and Energy and Local Government move to Simon Watts.

Nicola Willis says she's delighted to add a new Economic Growth portfolio to her responsibilities.

She says it's all about delivering changes across Government to unleash innovation, investment, job creation and growth in the economy.
