New Zealanders say their number one concern about internet harm is the safety of children

A study commissioned by InternetNZ shows more than half of New Zealanders are now spending four hours or more of their leisure time online each day.

However - it shows a third don't know to report harmful content to services like Netsafe and the Police.

Chief Executive Vivien Maidaborn says 71-percent of Kiwis are very concerned about children accessing concerning material.

She says children overseas are seeing a worrying amount of inappropriate content.
