A social housing group says the Government needs to go all-in on addressing rising homelessness

Last week, five steps were introduced to address rough sleeping in Auckland city, including funding 300 more Housing First homes and a ten million dollar boost for support services

The Government will also encourage MSD to use greater discretion for emergency housing applications.

Housing First NZ's Rami Alrudaini it's a good start, but more's needed.

He says 300 is nowhere near enoug,h and providers around the country are already at - or over - capacity.
