A desire for Christchurch's post-earthquake vision to be fully realised in the coming 12 months

A desire for Christchurch's post-earthquake vision to be fully realised in the coming 12 months

Today is the ninth anniversary of the deadly quake which claimed 185 lives.

A public Civic Service will be held at the Canterbury Earthquake National Memorial from 12.30 this afternoon.

Former Christchurch mayor Bob Parker wants to see the projects that are yet to be finished, completed ahead of the ten year anniversary.

He says he'd like to see a commitment to put the vision for the future put up nine years ago, in place - then the city can really thrive.
