Some kiwis are getting frugal around festivities - and some are forgoing them entirely

Some kiwis are getting frugal around festivities - and some are forgoing them entirely

PriceSpy's recent survey found 44 percent of consumers are tightening their belts this Christmas, and a further seven percent aren't planning on spending anything at all.

This finding sits alongside a consistent rise in prices from last year, for all months bar June.

Massey University Professor of Marketing Bodo Lang says Kiwis seem to be very aware of the cost of living and are adjusting their spending accordingly.
