Auckland is looking forward to a huge boost in revenue, as the ASB Classic returns to the City of Sails

Auckland is looking forward to a huge boost in revenue, as the ASB Classic returns to the City of Sails

Among the big tennis names gracing our shores over the next two weeks include Coco Gauff , Elina Svitolina, Emma Raducanu and Cam Norrie.

Last year's event generated more than three million dollars in GDP, from around 450-thousand-dollars invested.

Tataki Auckland Unlimited spokesperson Chris Simpson, says it's one of their main annual events that generates a lot of money for the city.

He says it also brings a lot of social benefits and global exposure for Auckland, on top of the money it generates.
