    New research has highlighted the importance of how to access local, and national news


    The study -- sparked by Newshub's impending closure and TVNZ's cancellations -- shows 75 percent of respondents felt it was important to be able to access news on television.

    It also found 74 percent felt it was important to access news online. and on other digital platforms.

    Research New Zealand managing partner Emanuel Kalafatelis ,says it was 84 percent match in respondents to both topics.

    He says that shows New Zealanders want to be able to access local and national news however they want to -- whether it's on television or digitally.
